On March 10, 2022, we hosted a roundtable discussion featuring members of the Ocean Modeling Forum's Marine Mammal Bycatch Working Group where they were able to share their main findings and products on how to develop and implement assessments of marine mammal bycatch. Speakers included Dr. André Punt and Dr. Tessa Francis from the University of Washington, Dr. Paul Wade, National Marine Mammal Laboratory, NOAA, Dr. Philip Hammond, University of St. Andrews, Dr. Jeffery Moore, NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center, and Dr. Margaret Siple, NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center. Dr. Ellen Hines, San Francisco State University and Dr. Maritza Sepúlveda, Universidad de Valparaíso also spoke and gave a short intro on their project, Marine Mammal Bycatch Risk Assessment in Chile.
