Workshop to Identify Research Priorities for Shifting Marine Species

We held two virtual workshops on September 7^th & 8^th, 2022 with individuals from various backgrounds including managers, researchers, and practitioners. These scoping sessions were designed to elicit information and perspectives about the challenges and priority research needs for managing marine protected areas (MPAs) in a changing ocean. Participants attended from 10 countries and shared their ideas on key management and practitioner challenges. These conversations are helping us shape future funding opportunities that fill knowledge gaps and build relationships among researchers and stakeholders for incorporating a climate lens in management of MPAs.
